Weekend Recap

My weekend started on Thursday evening when I drove to XNA to pick up Lauren. 

Back in June we planned a weekend for her to come up to Arkansas and stay for a weekend. It seemed like forever away at that point but it came quickly and it was a blast!

Jenna planned a dinner at a restaurant in her town (which wasn't far from the rest of us) and we had the best time! Wednesday, we all had a twitter chat about our new favorite show Revenge and we got to continue that conversation in person on Thursday night! We had tons of great laughs and lots of great conversations! I'm so glad we had this dinner!

Lindsey and I had never met or even talked before! I just recently started following her on Twitter. I sat pretty close to her at dinner and I'm so glad I did! We have a lot in common and I cannot wait to spend more time with her!

Jill (no blog, but she does have Twitter) and I have had some girls nights in the past year. I've really enjoyed getting to know her! And I love having someone my age in this "group".

Jenna and I have gotten to know each other really well over the past year. We have spent countless hours together and I just love her boys! :)

Lauren stayed at my house and Niki also stayed Thursday night. We had a fun girls night! :)

Friday, Niki, Lauren, and I got up and went out for our adventure! We stopped by some local favs like Riffraff, Rick's Bakery, and the mall. ha! I had to get a scarf for my sister-in-law so we made a stop on our way to lunch!

We also stopped at the Razorback Stadium to introduce Lauren to her future love... ya know -- Razorback football. ;) ha! 

We totally made her call the Hogs. ;)

We met several of the other ladies for lunch at the Crumpet Tea Room. Kelly and I have been trying time and time again to get lunch together at this place and it's never worked out! So I picked it for our get together.

Out of all the ladies at lunch, Hillary was the only one I had never met! We've been friends on Twitter for over a year now but we've never had the chance to get together! Another funny thing about this is Hillary grew up with Brad, her sister and I work in the same town, and her parents live in the same neighborhood as Brad's aunt and uncle. We both stated many times that we felt like we've met because we've talked and been friends for so long.

Saturday! ah! Still only at Saturday, we went to set up for the fall festival at the church. We worked hard for a couple of hours then went to eat at Rivertowne BBQ. We got to listen/watch to the Razorback game. What an embarrassment. I cannot believe what happened in that game... and yet we're still ranked #7 in the BCS! Insane!

After the game we got ready for the festival. I got all my 80's gear ready to wear and Lauren bought the cutest cat mask. :) We had such a fun time!

Today, we went to Pinnacle Hills Promenade and did a little shopping. When Brad and I were leaving from taking Lauren to the airport she messaged us to let us know her flight had been delayed by 2 hours!!! (3 hours from when we dropped her off). We drove back over to the airport and took her to dinner! I was sad to see Lauren go, but glad to have spent such a fun time with my friend all weekend. And I know she'll be back soon. :)
